JF1754 || Hei Matau carved from British Columbian Nephrite Jade - strung on a 0.8mm black waxed polyester cord with sliding knots for adjustable length. You can request different cord color at check out by sending me a note! This stone also looks great with black, copper/amber and tan cord colors.

The hook is a protective talisman for the traveler, whether over water or on land, the matau brings prosperity and protection on lifes' journey also represented by the koru in this carving.

The inner spiral is a koru - fern frond unfurling - representing new beginnings, and life's path or journey.
